A good fit, comfort and quality are our priorities. This is why we have been designing all our own patterns for more than 20 years and everything is tested in our studio before it ends up in our shop. As we use only high-quality materials, you will be able to enjoy your Fragile items for a long time, even after your pregnancy. This is how we try to contribute to sustainable fashion.

Dressing precious moments since 1990
Nathalie Vleeschouwer founded Fragile in 1990 with a small collection of maternity wear. Although she was only 22 at the time, she knew exactly what she wanted: to create practical fashion that makes pregnant women look beautiful. Pregnancy is a special period in every woman’s life, and one that demands specially adjusted, flattering outfits that make you feel wonderful. This approach is what distinguishes Fragile from the tent-like dresses and overalls which dominated the limited offering of maternity wear at the time.

Our company, Natale
The Natale company features two labels: Fragile & Nathalie Vleeschouwer. Both are the artistic creations of designer Nathalie Vleeschouwer. Natale employs a staff of approximately 40 who are engaged, both in the shop and behind the scenes, in a wide variety of tasks, from pattern designer to webmaster. Our philosophy is that outsourcing as little work as possible enables experience to be consolidated and full control of all processes to be retained.

Corporate social responsibility
Respect for people, the environment and society are key values at Natale. The manufacture of our products takes place without child labour, under pleasant conditions and for honest wages. Keeping our creative, commercial and administrative departments under one and the same roof in Antwerp limits our impact on the environment. We endeavour to minimise our ecological footprint throughout the rest of the production chain as well. This is why the greatest part of our production activities has taken place in Belgium for the past two decades and we regularly audit our production facilities and processes outside of Europe.
